Code of Conduct
Club Games is building the
premier online destination for social and competitive games of skill. We have
created a thriving community; where people who share a love of skill games, get
together to have fun and be entertained, while competing for both play money
and real money. To ensure an entertaining playing experience, all players must
comply with the Club Games Code of Conduct. Accountability and integrity must
be maintained at all times for the overall harmony and well-being of the Club
Games community.
Behavior
Guidelines
- Proper Etiquette – A player should
be courteous and respectful to all members at all times and show others
common courtesy throughout the site. When playing or chatting, a player
should be polite, kind, and treat all other players how they would like to
be treated. If a player has a negative opinion about another player, they
should keep it to themselves. Club
Games will not tolerate rudeness.
- Joining a Table - When a
player joins a table, they should say hello and introduce themselves to their
opponent(s). Getting to know opponent(s) and wishing them good luck at the
beginning of the game is encouraged.
- Game Play – A
player should limit comments to a player’s skill, as in "nice
play" rather than "lucky roll." Rolling doubles or getting good cards is
either lucky or unlucky and has nothing to do with an opponent’s skill.
- Game Speed – A
player should keep the game moving; make their moves and play as quickly
as possible to keep the game fun for both players.
- Dice Rolls - Luck
of the dice is part of some of the games and commenting on an opponent’s
luck is not encouraged. Considerate players acknowledge
their own luck, but do not feel the need to comment on their opponent’s.
- Match Completion - When
the match is over, a player should say good-bye and thank their opponent(s)
for playing.
- Watching -
When a player enters a table to watch a match, it is courteous to ask if any
of the player(s) mind that they watch. Commenting on dice or plays is not
appropriate. If a player, volunteer, or admin asks a player to leave a
match, they are required to do so.
- Leaving the
game table- If a player chooses to leave the table before the final
winner is decided, they should let their opponent know that they are
leaving, and wish to take the loss or save the game to be resumed later. If
they do not want to resume later, they should resign the match, instead of
walking away while the timer runs down. Making others wait is not
acceptable, and resigning the match is considerate to opponent(s).
- Jokes and
Humor – Players should be careful, what one person thinks is funny may
offend someone else. Sexual,
offensive, or racist humor is not allowed.
